Le Rosé 2009
Delicate pale rose in colour, the nose is floral with notes of strawberries and cream leading to a finely textured palate with a creamy yet satisfying fresh finish.
The Vintage: A warmer vintage than average for rosé with yields down on average due to low rainfall during the growing season. Parcels of Cinsault and Grenache were chosen expressly for rosé production in order to keep alcohols down and retain maximum freshness. The grapes were picked between the 1st and 3rd of September.
Grape Varieties: 80% Cinsault, 20% Grenache
Yield: 15-30 hl/ha
Terrior: schist and grit
Wine Making: 100% saignée, fermentation between 12°C and 17°C in tank, daily lies stirring.
